WhatsApp Templates for Requesting Google Reviews
Published August 27, 2026 · 3 min read
WhatsApp is where your customers actually talk in the Gulf. A review request there gets read within minutes, while the same request by email may never be opened at all.
But the closeness that makes it effective also makes it intrusive when handled badly. Here are the practical differences, with ready templates.
Three rules before any template
Send as a person, not a system. "This is Sara from …" reads completely differently from a message that opens with the business name alone.
One message and one reminder. If there is no response after the reminder, stop. Persistence costs you the customer, not just the review.
Never attach anything to the request. Not even entry into a prize draw. Google prohibits incentives explicitly, and the penalty lands on your Business Profile.
The templates
After a restaurant or cafe visit
Hi 👋 Thanks for coming in today — we hope it was a good one. If you have a minute, a Google review really helps other people find us: [link] And if anything was off, just reply here and we will sort it.
That last line matters: it gives an unhappy customer a private route without blocking them from Google.
After a salon or clinic appointment
Hi [name], We hope you are happy with the result. Your review on Google helps other people choose with confidence: [link] Thank you for trusting us 🌿
Note what is missing: we do not ask "how was it?" before sending the link. Asking first and routing by the answer is review gating, which we covered in asking for reviews without breaking the rules.
After an online order is delivered
Your order has arrived ✅ If everything is as it should be, a Google review makes a real difference to us: [link] And if anything went wrong, message us here and we will fix it.
The single reminder — three days later
One quick nudge, and we will not send another 🙏 If you would like to share your thoughts: [link]
The phrase "we will not send another" turns a nudge into a commitment — and people respond to it more readily.
For a returning customer
[name], you have been with us a long time 🤍 Your opinion in particular carries weight with people reading: [link]
What makes these fail
A long, broken link. Use the short g.page/r/…/review form. We covered how to get it in the QR code guide.
An obvious mass message. No name, or a stiff formal register, and it reads as an advert and gets ignored.
Bad timing. An 11pm message reads as an intrusion no matter how polite the wording.
Asking only the happy ones. Sending it to whoever smiled is filtering opinions, not collecting them.
The short version
From a person, with a short link, one message and one reminder, to everyone equally.
And once the review arrives, Raddly drafts the reply in your customer's own dialect — Gulf for Gulf, Egyptian for Egyptian — and publishes it to Google after you approve.
